| description abstract | Unlike the first Special Issue on Micromanufacturing, published in Vol. 126, No. 4 in November of 2004, this Special Issue was not planned ahead of time. It just happened that a substantial number of papers in the publication queue in the time-frame when the June issue of the journal was being composed fell into this category. Therefore, I felt that in spite of a slight violation of the policy that calls for papers to be published in the chronological order of acceptance, it would be beneficial to group papers on Micromanufacturing into a single issue for the benefit of the increasing number of researchers entering this rapidly growing field. | |
