description abstractA method is derived for specifying economically optimum tolerances for a variety of sheet materials for use in flight vehicles. The results indicate a significant disparity between present industry practices and the apparent optimum tolerances. These tolerances are listed as possible target requirements for rolling programs of new and future metals.
