description abstractAn alternative method employed in industrial cleansing applications involves injecting liquid water in a flow of gaseous nitrogen and discharging the mixture through a converging-diverging nozzle onto the surface. This paper is an extension of a previous analysis, which was geared towards understanding the gas/liquid mixture dynamics through the nozzle. The analysis presented here takes into account the effect of the nozzle area ratio and is thus geared towards the nozzle designer and provides additional fundamental insight into the required geometry.
