description abstractIn the present study, the authors propose a method to determine the pressure distribution acting on contact surfaces and detail the development of a measuring device. The principle of pressure measurement is based on the scattered reflection of light from the surface after contact. The device developed measures the pressure distribution and displays it in three dimensions. Pressure distributions measured on various contact surfaces are shown.
