description abstractIn the process of the deep drawing of a cup, anisotropy and work-hardening characteristics of the material were introduced, by use of the incremental strain theory, into the calculation of stress and strain distributions and the punch force, and the effect of these characteristics on the limiting drawing ratio was obtained. Calculations were carried out by using the FORTRAN language on an IBM 7094 computer at the University of California.
