description abstractIn Part 1 of this paper [1], the basic form of a novel, optimization approach to utilize balance delay (idle) times within stations in a multistage machining system was introduced. In Part 2 the computational algorithm based on the mathematical analysis has been developed. Unlike most alternative techniques, the proposed approach is capable of effectively calculating the optimum cutting conditions (speed and feed) with zero idle time. Its performance is finally evaluated via numerical examples and its sensitivity discussed.
