description abstractThe dynamic buckling of liquid-filled shells is reviewed. Comparison of the analysis with experimental results is presented. The governing equations of dynamic buckling of liquid-filled imperfect shells are then derived. A simple imperfection pattern is chosen to explain the additional buckling modes encountered in the experiments.
