description abstractThe axisymmetric, transverse vibrations of a spinning membrane disk, centrally clumped between collars with Coulomb friction at the disk-collar interface, are shown, by a scale factor, to be equivalent to those of a membrane fully built into a hub, or clamped between frictionless collars.
