description abstractWith a view to clarifying cavitation phenomena induced by ultrasonic waves, utilized recently in erosion tests, the frequency spectrum of the waves caused by cavitation was obtained, and the pattern of air bubbles produced were observed by high-speed photography. Some considerations also are given in the present report on the amount and form of erosion caused by cavitation.
