description abstractNumerical solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations are presented for developing laminar flow in the entrance region of a cascade of parallel horizontal plates with a uniform velocity profile at upstream infinity. Extrapolation to zero mesh size is used. Detailed results on the incremental pressure drop number are presented for Reynolds number ranging from 40 to 2000.
