description abstractIn this paper we will give a wear analysis and a life estimation of the XHP series Rock bit bearing system with the three-body abrasive wear equation developed by the authors. The result of the estimation indicates that it is possible to increase the service life by about eighty-six percent due to using the mechanical seal instead of the O-ring rubber seal.
