    Abstract: This paper documents the history of hydrogen damage to a large central station steam-generating unit. The nature and extent of the damage are discussed, and the inspection techniques used to detect damaged areas are described. Boiler operation, chemistry of boiler water, feedwater treatment, and other influencing factors are also discussed.
