| description abstract | Mathematical models are developed for the first time to describe a multifacet drill (MFD) point geometry, which has been evolved by experiments since 1953 in Peking. A precise grinding process has been adopted on a CNC five-axis drill grinder using the model. A highly repetitive MFD has been reproduced to ensure its further development and applications. | |
