Abstract: The present paper concerns a finite thermoelastostatic analysis considering temperature-dependent mechanical and thermal properties of material. The Lamé elastic parameters, thermal expansion coefficient, and thermal conductivity are expressed by linear functions of temperature. Higher-order terms in terms of temperature and strain invariants are introduced into the free energy expression. Lagrange formulation is employed for derivation of the governing field equations. A hollow sphere under a spherically symmetric stationary thermal field is analyzed numerically. The influence of the temperature-dependent variations of the material properties on stress state is investigated and found to be insignificant over a narrow temperature range where the material remains elastic.
