Abstract: This paper describes the results of our experiments on and theoretical predictions of the trajectories of multiple buoyant and nonbuoyant jets. Our theoretical calculations employed a finite difference method of analysis of both a momentum integral equation and the law of conservation of momentum. Results are presented for cases in which the ratio of the jet velocity to the crossflow of arbitrary velocity distribution ranges from 1.2 to 10.6. Our theoretical predictions are shown to be in close agreement with available experimental data.
