| description abstract | Using steady flow of air/water at low mass ratios, choking was obtained in short pipes by reducing the back pressure well below atmospheric pressure. Variation of flow parameters affected the choked mass flow-rate, but showed no appreciable effect on the flow pattern; this remained annular with air/water mixture on the outside and water in the core of the pipe. | |
