Abstract: Modern mechanism synthesis techniques provide powerful tools for satisfying path constraints. However, for industrial applications there are often equally important constraints on space available for the mechanism and on how it can be driven. Two examples clarify the problem. A computer graphics procedure is outlined as a workable solution.
