description abstractIn previous work, by means of stochastic and deterministic models, the authors presented a system identification theory for performing nondestructive testing of elastic systems. The procedure requires identification of the structure’s boundary conditions. Herein, the mathematical models are improved, and vibration data are presented for the determination of the boundary parameters. These experimentally derived results are shown to validate the models.
