| description abstract | A method for obtaining stresses and displacements under conditions of transient creep is illustrated, with finite deformations taken into account. A mixed variational for mutation due to Sanders, et al. [1] is used and numerical results are given for the finite-displacement analysis of a thin tube under internal pressure and a laterally-loaded circular plate. These results are compared with existing experimental and theoretical results, and the agreement is found to be very satisfactory. | |
