    Abstract: This paper discusses variations in heat exchanger design and configuration for a class of ocean thermal power plants. Details of the heat exchanger models are summarized and analytical results for component and cycle variations are presented. A heat exchanger optimization program is discussed in detail and preliminary results for this study are given.
