description abstractAn inevitable aspect of project management is that project managers come and go. The schedule, cost, and quality of a project are impacted by the changes resulting from project manager turnover. The writer has learned a number of lessons through personal experience in completing projects initiated by another project manager. Some of these lessons concerning milestones, contacts, introductions, commitments, decisions, critical path, data base, and paperwork are presented in this paper. The adverse effect on projects caused by project manager turbulence can be minimized through the use of these methods.
