Abstract: Writing for professional technical journals can be an effective tool in helping managers organize themselves and in concretizing management theory and practice. Writing about projects not only helps keep projects and goals alive, but allows writers to make significant long‐range contributions to the engineering profession and to public perceptions of it. The writer provides a framework that can help writers be more efficient and effective.
