| description abstract | In 1995 the city of Palo Alto passed a $143 million bond initiative to upgrade sixteen elementary and secondary schools. At that time this was the largest school bond ever passed by a California municipality. I outline the process used to arrive at the final design (contract documents) phase of four elementary schools. I also address the trend toward greater collaboration between design professionals and stakeholders. | |
