Abstract: The present study stems from the current need for experimental data related to the transport of polydisperse, dry aerosols in a carrier gas jet. The size and velocity of particles laden in a turbulent jet are measured using a phase-Doppler anemometer. The tests entailed use of nearly spherical, polydisperse glass beads to seed an air jet at a high enough Reynolds number of roughly 36 × 10
