| description abstract | A primary step in developing the new NCEES licensure examination for Building Architectural Engineering (BAE) was recently completed by the Buros Center for Testing and the AEI Examination Development Subcommittee of the Professional Issues Committee. Discussion is presented herein on the development process and the results of the Professional Activities and Knowledge (PAK) analysis survey. Results of the assessment are presented for each of the specialty areas of architectural engineering as well as the demographic characteristics of the 239 survey respondents. Mean importance ratings and standard deviations of the knowledge and tasks evaluated in the PAK analysis are tabulated and ranked. Discussion is also given regarding the NCEES requirement that the BAE licensure exam follow the single-exam, multiple-choice format. | |
