Abstract: This research explored different types of intervention and designation in the creation and management of cultural agglomeration in an urban context. Accordingly, as a result of carrying out an in-depth literature study on the subject of cultural agglomeration, the research clarified the process of development approaches in respect of creation and management strategies of cultural agglomeration, considering both their positive and negative aspects and interdependence. The study moved beyond the generalized insights of the development approaches through examining changes in the modes of intervention and designation that can lead to multifold contributions of culture to sustainable development. The study further suggests that the evolutionary type of cultural agglomeration enhances long-term, realistic goal setting for urban development.
