Abstract: Examination of the orthogonally rotated factors of a common factor analysis program has revealed a relationship between water temperatures and coastal air temperatures. However, this statistical relationship occurred only at select times of the day. By employing factor analysis, the effects of elevation and geographical position were isolated by various factors and their respective loadings.
