The Tampa, Fla., office of a large, transportation-oriented consulting engineering, planning, architectural and surveying firm, suffered from problems in communication, trust, dependency and individualism. Realizing that improvement had to be made to increase their success, they tried a management team-building retreat. Using a facilitator, they hoped the retreat would develop better relations between each department.
