Abstract: The desirability of, and theoretical requirements for, optical rectification and gridding of satellite photographs are discussed for cases of both low and high TIROS tilt angles. The equipment designed and built for that purpose at the University of Miami is presented along with several unrectified and rectified photographs showing gridding accuracies attainable by partial and complete picture rephotography.
