Abstract: At Mt. Hood, Oregon, the Soil Conservations Service has developed and conducted evaluation tests of the pressure pillow approach to measuring the equivalent water content of the snow. Results indicated this method to be a practical, economical and accurate method of measuring the equivalent water content of the snow. The pressure pillow snow gage provides a continuous recording of any changes in the water content of the snow.
