Abstract: A thunderstorm center, not generally well known and not pointed out in the WMO maps of global thunderstorm activity, in the Andes of northern, Argentina is described. The relationship of its activity to meteorological and orographic conditions is discussed. This center is supposed to have a strong effect on the atmospheric electric global circuit.
