Abstract: Graphical analyses of the observed occurrences of tropical cyclones in the North Atlantic region during the years 1901 through 1960 are presented. Intra-seasonal and inter-seasonal variations of tropical cyclone origins, duration, and intensity are discussed and compared for six geographic development zones. Features of the activity originating in these zones are examined.
