Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to develop analytical solutions to the three-dimensional diffusion?deposition equation for point sources in turbulent shear flow. In this paper, it is shown that the solution for the three-dimensional diffusion?deposition equation can be separated into two subfunctions, and all of the two-dimensional line source solutions appearing in the literature can be considered as a subfunction in the solution for a three-dimensional point source in turbulent shear flow.
