    Abstract: This paper describes the traveling tripper-surge bin-feeder-screen system as well as the hopper design for mass flow of material. Highlights of the calculations are brought out, particularly those concerned with belt horsepower and pulley stresses due to unusually high tension. A description of mechanical components is included and the selections of steel cable belt and hydraulic drive are discussed.
