Initial-Value Method for a Pseudoplastic Fluid in a Laminar Boundary Layer Over a Porous Flat Plate With Suction

Abstract: The effect of finite suction velocity on the Blasius boundary-value problem, as generalized for power-law non-Newtonian fluids, has been studied by reducing the problem to an initial-value problem which can then be easily solved numerically. The initial-value method seems to be more efficient than the other known methods and the computer time required for the solution is also much less.
