    On Circular Spot Brakes

Source: Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering:;1972:;volume( 094 ):;issue: 003::page 859

Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The center of pressure of circular friction pads coincides with the geometrical center of the pads, provided that such pads are constrained to move perpendicularly to the brake disk (as is the practice). Radially, there exists a serious pressure gradient which should be taken into account.
