Abstract

Dr. Xiaoping Du is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Chongqing University, China, Shanghai Jian Tong University, China, and the University of Illinois at Chicago, respectively, all in Mechanical Engineering. He served as an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Southwest Petroleum University in China. Dr. Du has also experience as a mechanical engineer at two companies. Dr. Du's areas of research include design under uncertainty, reliability, and optimization.
