    Heat Transfer Characteristics in Air Fluidized Solids up to 900 F

    Source: Journal of Fluids Engineering:;1971:;volume( 093 ):;issue: 002::page 165
    Author:
    J. T. Callahan
    DOI: 10.1115/1.3425206
    Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
    Abstract: A theory for the mechanism of heat transfer in gas fluidized solids has been developed. Supporting data has been obtained. An empirical equation which fits the theory and correlates the data has been determined. Many sample calculations are given so that the equation can be used in design work.
