Abstract: Two parallel circular disks are separated by a viscous fluid; one of the disks oscillates sinusoidally in a direction normal to its plane and the other is at rest. A solution to this problem is presented and compared with previous approximate solutions and experimental results. It is suggested that further experimental results are required.
