Abstract: Tests are reported which were carried out to establish the performance of pressure-exchanger dividers and equalizers using air as the working fluid. The effects of varying rotor speed, port geometry, and port pressure ratios were explored. It was concluded that, at low pressure ratios, pressure-exchanger dividers and equalizers are comparable in performance with their turbomachine counterparts.
