    Abstract: In this paper, we study numerically the effects of discontinuity in elasticity and damping on the dynamics of an electromechanical transducer. Frequency-response curves of oscillatory states are obtained. Bifurcation structures and transitions to nonperiodic or chaotic motion are found.
