| description abstract | This paper summarizes several recent efforts to develop and implement techniques to monitor and diagnose problems in submerged shaft vertical pumps. Projects based on iterative analytical and experimental efforts were implemented on several different types of vertical pumps typically found in power plants. This paper describes both the modeling and monitoring portions of these projects, including the “lessons learned” in studying six vertically mounted pumps in operational power plants. | |
