A Brief Review of Flow Induced Vibrations of Tube Arrays in Cross-Flow

Abstract

A brief review summarizing the key conclusions arrived at in a more extensive survey presented by the author to the 1976 ASME Winter Annual Meeting [1] is offered. In particular, an empirical stability map for tube arrays in cross-flow is suggested.
