SOME STATISTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CYCLONES AT 500 MILLIBARS

Abstract

Geographical frequency distributions of cyclones and cyclogenesis, and frequency distributions of the 24-hour displacement of cyclones, at the 500-millibar level over the northwest quadrasphere, based on six years of 500-mb northern-hemisphere maps, are presented for the four seasons of the year.
