EMPIRICALLY DETERMINED DISTRIBUTIONS OF HOURLY TEMPERATURES
Abstract
This article presents an empirical relationship for determining the monthly distribution of hourly temperatures from the monthly mean, mean maximum, and mean minimum temperatures. It is a demonstration that distributions of hourly temperatures from climates as diverse as the Arctic and the tropics can be brought together into one relationship.
