description abstractFour hard-grade asphalt mixtures of two hard binders and two gradations are investigated in terms of their rutting resistance, cracking resistance, and moisture sensitivity. After examining the basic properties of the hard-grade asphalt mixture, its viscoelastic performance is given focus. The dynamic modulus test is executed at seven temperatures. Based on time temperature superposition, the sigmoid function of the viscoelastic models of the hard-grade asphalt mixture is established, and the master curves of the dynamic moduli are also constructed. Results indicate that the hard-grade asphalt mixture has excellent resistance to rutting and that its low temperature performance and water sensitivity meet the current specifications.
