Asphalt Pavements Evaluation Methods Based on Modern Inspection Technologies

Abstract

Based on the basic requirements for pavement evaluation and the analysis of the existing problems such as inaccuracy in the evaluation results and inefficiency in the data collections, refined evaluation indexes are presented including pavement condition index and riding quality index. Meanwhile improved data collection methods and designed by use of modem pavement inspection technologies for the evaluation indexes. As a result, a set of new effective and efficient pavement evaluation system has been established with improved methods.
