description abstractA new maintenance quality evaluation system for high-grade highway is put forward. An analytical hierarchy process is used to establish suitable distress conversion factor. The riding quality index model is revised based on field test and a new pavement rut depth evaluating model is established in terms of driving safety, based on the hydroplaning test results under the conditions of water depth on pavement done by other researchers, taking into account of the effects of the rut shape. The models are used in the maintenance quality evaluation of an expressway with good effects.
