Experimental Study and Analysis of Influence of Automobile Service Factors on Fuel Economy

Abstract

Consulting a lot of literatures, the influence of automobile service factors (weather, terrain, driving style, etc) on fuel economy was analyzed. The influence of weather, terrain and road condition on fuel economy was quantitative studied by a lot of tests. It is concluded that (1) the service factors for fuel economy are all important; (2) the influence of temperature on vehicle fuel economy is not simply proportional, when the ambient temperature is higher than normal temperature, the influence of temperature on vehicle is relatively stable, while high-temperature and low-temperature fuel consumption are greatly different; (3) at
