description abstractAccording to the test requirements stipulated in ECE/R66 and GB/T17578-1998, a finite element model of body frame and a finite element model of body with shin for type 6120 high—bed bus were established, and then the influence of bus skin on the simulation results of rollover crash was analyzed. Bus skin was shown to have a greater influence on the deformation of the front and rear body columns in rollover crash simulation. Thus, the impact of bus skin cannot be overlooked in testing the strength of bus superstructure by the finite element analysis method.
